The Auto Styling Series: Brabus Rocket 900!

Updated: Feb 3, 2021

Welcome to another edition in the Auto Styling Series and welcome to the Brabus Rocket 900! Yes, you heard right, the Brabus Rocket 900....

This is Brabus' take on the AMG GT 4 door, the 4 door iteration of the AMG GT and a powerful car in its own right. 888bhp and 1050 Nm of torque is so Brabus with the styling is no different. The AMG GT 4 door, in my opinion, looked too much like an extended AMG GT and lacked a special look to go alongside the powerful unit underneath the bonnet.

Brabus have had a go and it's fair to say it's a bold effort from the tuner.

The front has a slight change to the original design with the grille beneath the licence plate sporting cornered edges instead of the round design.

The famous Brabus badge replaces the Mercedes symbol to round off minimal changes to the front end.

The real changes are to the rear of the car. Flared wheel arches make the Brabus Rocket more aggressive with a wider, stronger stance for the road whilst the Carbon Fibre pieces help to emphasise the rear gills.

Riding much lower than the AMG GT 63 S instantly makes the Rocket 900 appear more sporty but this isn't the full extent of the changes.

The Rear Diffuser in Carbon Fibre is far more defined with longer, more pronounced slats, rounded edges for the exhaust exits and overall, a more purposed design.

The fixed Rear Wing takes similar cues from the AMG GT Black Series, albeit to a lesser extreme and improves hugely on the original retractable spoiler. The unconventional, non conformist design and almost ladder look holding the wing up really suit the Rocket 900.

The alloys are very different, plenty of Carbon Fibre but with a design that differs majorly from the typical spoke design. The wheels sport an overlaying, inner circle design, sat on top of the spokes. A very unique design, and whilst not to my liking, they match this car and work well.

So here we have it, the new Brabus machine, the Rocket 900, an aggressive, redesigned version of the AMG GT 63S, a perfect and typical Brabus take on a car that needed a touch up.
