The industry is saturated with products and offerings that are designed to sell to the masses and the need to sell to a wide audience, inherently leads to designs that become diluted and "safe".
Contrary to this, there has always been a core market for enthusiasts who want a different and more enhanced look. 458 Speciales, Aventador SVs, 911 GT3 RS', BMW M4s, Audi RS4s, Ford Focus RS' are all premium, enhanced versions borne from the demand and desire for something special.
And where that demand exists, suppliers exist too.
Onyx Concept is an automotive tuning house, specialising in aftermarket designs, targeting premium brands like Bentley, Rolls Royce, Ferrari and Lamborghini.
This is the Bentley GTX-3 by Onyx. The third iteration in a line of modified Bentley Continental GTs, designed to look more aggressive, more daring and more stand out compared to the standard Continental GT.
Before anything else, the use of Forged Carbon for the rear diffuser and side skirts provides a strong and bold contrast to the paintwork and starts the list of dynamic changes a world away from the standard Continental.
Removing the original wheels, these new alloys add more spokes with each spoke black at the centre cap and extending to chrome at the end. When the Conti is on the move, there is no doubt, a floating effect created by the contrast.
Chrome delete, flared wheel arches, revised front grill with a parcel shelf design and a rear spoiler to boot.
The beauty of the service offered by Onyx is that you can either buy one or have your Continental GT transformed into one, with options on Carbon Fibre or Forged Carbon to choose from.
