Back with another edition in the series and today we are looking at the creme of the crop, the flagship vehicle from the most famous automotive brand in the world.
The Ferrari LaFerrari.
In 2013 Ferrari started production on its latest flagship model and the successor to the Enzo, developing another halo model, limited in production and producing the most powerful engine set up Ferrari had ever created in a road car. By the end of 2018 when production had finished, Ferrari had built 500 coupes and 210 Apertas, making the LaFerrari a very limited production vehicle.
The 6.3l V12 hybrid set up made 950hp, 900Nm of torque and was 1 of the "Holy Trinity" of competing hypercars released by Ferrari, Mclaren and Porsche.
Engineering aside, the LaFerrari is one of the most beautiful supercars Ferrari has ever created. The design is both elegant and aggressive, an amazing contrast of colours with the roof, wheels, wing mirrors and front lip all complementing the special Rosso Formula 1 2007 paint.
Options wise this car is fully spec'd and loaded with carbon fibre. The exposed carbon fibre roof and wing mirrors really suit helping both elements to stand out against the Rosso paintwork. The front lip and even the wheel caps with the Ferrari logo are complete in carbon fibre.
The options have certainly not been skimped on with Suspension Lift, Sports Exhaust Pipes and Nero Leather with Rosso Piping the other notable picks. They have even optioned for a seat cushion!
The LaFerrari just like the Enzo came with butterfly doors making a statement with this aggressive but picturesque stance when stationary or on the move.
The face of the LaF is a mixture of curves that drip class but with an aggressive undertone aided by the bonnet vents and headlights. The front bumper similarly almost curves around to an apex at the front, whilst the colour matching of Carbon and Rosso paintwork simply just work.
The 19/20" forged alloy wheels in gloss black are simple but refined and match the overall design language.
The rear just like the front is unique, bulbous is nature with an exposed design as the mesh grille shows off the internals and the Laf's sports exhaust. The rear diffuser, separated by Ferrari's signature F1 brake light, carries electrically adjusted flaps that move under braking and acceleration to provide optimal downforce and aerodynamics in favour of the car.
Needless to say the Ferrari LaFerrari nearly 8 years on, is still thee best looking Ferrari ever designed and produced. It can be seen and recognised from a mile off, looks stunning when moving at inter city speeds and just at home doing 0-60mph in less than 3 seconds.
Prices are still above £2m, nearly 2x the original list price and you can see why. For those who have worked hard and have the resources to consider this level of car, Romans International have a wonderfully spec'd LaF ready for someone with the means!

But if like me you don't have a spare £2.2m lying around you're always free to admire...
