Happy New Year to those of you who are reading one of our blogs for the first time!
It has been a while since we dropped a Sale Series edition and today once again we are here with another Lamborghini and another Performanté, the Huracán Performanté to be precise!
The Huracán Performanté is the most track inspired Huracán released by Lamborghini with an extra 30hp, 40kg weight reduction and at the time a record holder for production cars around the Nürburgring race circuit.
Released as a premium version of the "baby Lambo", new prices started at £215,000 but the joys of depreciation (subjective!) means that these beauties can be had for c.£170,000 and with that we have picked out this gem offered by Philip Ireland Performance Cars!
This is the car that many journalists enthused that the Huracán should have started its life as but however Lamborghini got there, the key point is that this monster was released to the public for us to enjoy in one way or another.
The styling of the Huracán in some ways was a step up on the Gallardo but in others, in my opinion, not enough of an advancement. The front bumper and front face pushed on with a more modern and slick design but the rear did not stand out like the LP Gallardo.
Here on the Performanté that has well and truly been fixed.
This Arancio Borealis example offered by Philip Ireland has as you would expect, a slightly restyled front bumper from the regular Huracán with what you would only describe as fangs offset perfectly by the jet black front lip. Arancio Borealis is the ideal paintwork for this car, showing off what a Lambo should really look like and amplifying every curve and element this track monster was built with.
The rear is styled with a forged carbon fibre wing in addition to mid mounted exhaust exits that transform and hugely improve the rear of the regular Huracán. The diffuser is also created using forged carbon fibre and stands out as more obvious and aggressive with the slats more noticeable when surrounded by the orange paintwork. The forged carbon does a great job in adding a slight tinge of contrast to the black rear diffuser.
Highlighted options on this car are the Loge forged 20" lightweight wheels in gloss black with the red Lamborghini centre caps and orange calipers to match.
Just above the side skirts sits the tri-colour stripes representing the Italian flag and a nice break from the orange and black that dominates the Performanté.
The interior gets the benefit of sportivo alcantara throughout and carbon fibre sports seats and Arancio Borealis stitching all through the cabin.
It's fair to say the Performanté is a fantastic upgrade on the original Huracán in terms of performance and from a styling perspective. The car offered by Philip Ireland for me is one of the cleanest specs the market has to offer and at just under £178,000, this represents a big discount on what would have been a new price north of £230,000.
We can always dream and you never know, you might find yourself in the position to own something like this. In the meantime why not get accustomed to what you would buy if you had the money!
